Both sides of the aisle are now openly calling for Anthony Fauci to face handcuffs and a cell.
The latest spark? Private texts from his government phone showing the man who spent years bullying Americans into experimental shots was quietly warning colleagues about a theoretical first-trimester miscarriage risk from the second COVID dose—while the public got the “safe and effective” sales pitch with no red flags.
Senators Rand Paul and Ron Johnson released the January 2021 exchange between Fauci, then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, and Vivek Murthy (soon to be Surgeon General). Fauci wrote that significant cytokine storms and fever after the second dose “theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester.” Walensky called it a “good point.” Days later Fauci was still publicly insisting regulators saw no red flags in vaccinated pregnant women.
Meghan McCain—hardly a MAGA firebrand—didn’t mince words. “PUT FAUCI IN JAIL!!!! (I am a woman who was pregnant and had a miscarriage during Covid),” she posted. Then she doubled down: “This is not hyperbole – handcuff, perp walk and put Fauci in a jail cell for the rest of his life.” When even the McCain brand is demanding a perp walk, the Overton window has shifted.

MAGA has been saying it for years. Rand Paul has sent multiple criminal referrals—two under Biden, more under Trump—accusing Fauci of lying to Congress about gain-of-function research and related cover-ups. After Fauci took the Fifth more than 100 times in late July rather than answer questions, Paul’s Homeland Security Committee voted along party lines to hold him in contempt and referred the matter straight to the Justice Department. Trump himself has floated that Fauci should face prosecution, noting the contempt cases against his own former aides. Ted Cruz called him “America’s most damaging bureaucrat” who “should go to jail.” Marjorie Taylor Greene said he knew the shots could cause miscarriages and still pushed them: “Fauci belongs in prison.” Florida’s attorney general is investigating. Steve Bannon and others have been far blunter.
RFK Jr., now running HHS, has long argued Fauci caused massive injury and should face consequences if crimes were committed. His department turned over Fauci’s phone to Senate investigators—the very device that produced these texts. The phone contained tens of thousands of messages. This is just the opening tranche.
Yet the referrals sit. Previous criminal referrals to the DOJ under both administrations produced no indictment of Fauci himself (though his former adviser David Morens was charged). The contempt referral is now in the hands of the Trump DOJ. Americans who watched their kids’ schools close, their small businesses destroyed, their family members pressured or coerced into shots, and their free speech crushed over “misinformation” that later turned out closer to the truth are watching the same pattern: process, statements, referrals… and then silence.

The Deep State playbook is familiar. Preemptive Biden pardon covering a decade of conduct. Endless procedural delays. Media that still treats Fauci as a secular saint while dismissing every new document dump as “debunked.” Career officials and institutional inertia that protect the permanent bureaucracy even when the elected branches change. If the same stonewalling continues under a Republican administration that campaigned on accountability, the message is clear: some people are simply too connected to face real consequences.
This is no longer a fringe demand. When establishment voices like Meghan McCain join the chorus of senators, state attorneys general, and the president himself in calling for jail time, the question is no longer whether the evidence justifies scrutiny. The question is whether the system that elevated Fauci and shielded him for years will finally stop protecting him—or whether the Deep State simply outlasts another wave of public anger.
America wants answers and accountability. The referrals are in. The texts are public. The ball is in the DOJ’s court. Will they act, or will the protection racket continue? We here at Whatfinger News have had it with them all. As of today, we have zero faith in the DOJ in doing what is right.
