U.S. Central Command said it carried out a ninth consecutive night of strikes against targets in Iran in the early hours of July 20, targeting naval, air, and communications sites that it said were used to threaten commercial shipping and civilian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran condemned the attacks, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accusing the United States of striking infrastructure, medical facilities, and other resources essential to civilians’ daily lives.
