An economically fragile country caught up in Russia’s hybrid war, Moldova is keen to make progress for a fast path to EU membership. With the opening of the first chapter of accession negotiations, the bloc launched its €1.9 billion investment plan in the country. With this plan, which is conditional on domestic structural reforms, Europe hopes to draw in businesses and drive change in the country.
