Several people were injured after a Lufthansa aircraft experienced a nose gear collapse while parked at a gate at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday, June 4. A Lufthansa spokesperson said the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner’s nose landing gear unexpectedly retracted while stationary, and an investigation is underway into the circumstances. The aircraft was preparing for a flight to Los Angeles, and no passengers were on board at the time, though several crew members were reportedly injured. Video shared online showed the plane’s nose resting on the tarmac following the incident.
