Two American tourists were arrested after allegedly entering the enclosure of Punch the Monkey, a viral baby macaque at a zoo in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture. Authorities say one of the men climbed over a 5-foot safety barrier and approached the macaques while his companion recorded the stunt, causing the animals to panic and retreat through the exhibit. The intrusion disrupted zoo operations, forced viewing area closures and led to canceled events at the popular attraction, where Punch became an international sensation after bonding with a stuffed orangutan toy following abandonment by his mother at birth.
