In his last public statement on the issue in April 2025, President Trump vowed in an X post that he’d work with the Republican party to eliminate daylight savings time, calling it “inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation.” Now, close to a year later, it remains to be seen what exactly the Trump administration will do to make it official.
