Dramatic footage shows ICE officers pepper-spraying and tackling an 80-year-old man to the ground in Santa Barbara, California, on February 20, according to local reports. The man, identified by Santa Barbara Independent as Doug Hayes, a well-known local defense attorney, is seen confronting agents, demanding they show their faces and urging them to release a detained individual. After Hayes reached toward the detainee’s backpack while agents restrained him, one officer deployed pepper spray and forced him to the ground.
