NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that he and President Trump agreed on two “workstreams” to ease tensions between the US and the EU over Greenland. Rutte noted that the EU would not be able to defend itself without US help, telling reporters, "If anyone thinks here again that the European Union or Europe as a whole can defend itself without the U.S., keep on dreaming."
