On Saturday, January 10, thousands of people gathered in Minneapolis to protest the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent.
Representative Ilhan Omar joined the protest, urging attendees to continue documenting ICE actions and increase public oversight of federal agents. Omar and other Minnesota Democrats were also denied access to a regional ICE facility, a move they described as unlawful and part of escalating tensions between local officials and federal authorities.
