Stellan Skarsgård joked about how his kids prepared him for his role in ‘Sentimental Value’ during his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Male Actor in a Motion Picture at the 2026 Golden Globes. During the speech, the ‘Dune’ star shared that his eight kids—Alexander Skarsgård, 49, Gustaf Skarsgård, 45, Sam Skarsgård, 43, Bill Skarsgård, 35, Eija Skarsgård, 33, and Valter Skarsgård, 30, with ex-wife My Skarsgård as well as Ossian Skarsgård, 16, and Kolbjörn Skarsgård, 13, with wife Megan Everett—have “been very educational. I’m playing a father who is a bad father there. And my children have really told me what a bad father is.” Outside of his children, Stellan also gave Megan a shoutout for helping him prepare for the Joachim Trier movie.
