At the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in Malaysia’s capital, Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to hold direct talks to try and end ongoing fighting that began in May this year over a border dispute. But no ceasefire has yet been reached as civilians on both sides continue to suffer. Walid Bin Siraj has more details.
