The US military carried out lethal strikes on three vessels allegedly operated by designated terrorist organizations in international waters on Dec. 15, killing eight suspected narco-terrorists, officials said. Intelligence confirmed the boats were traveling along known drug-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific. The operation was conducted under Joint Task Force Southern Spear at the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
