A large emergency response was seen outside Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, following a shooting at the university. Brown University sent out alerts to students notifying them throughout the situation to keep them safe. The university sent an alert that there was an active shooter on campus at 4:22pm and advised students to shelter in place.
