Pope Leo was given an official farewell at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport on Tuesday, as he concluded his three-day Lebanon visit.
Leo has been visiting Lebanon on the second leg of his first overseas trip as Catholic leader that started in Turkey, in which he has pleaded for peace in the Middle East and warned that humanity’s future was at risk from the world’s proliferating conflicts.
