At the G7 meeting in Canada, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed European criticism over US strikes on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean, saying allies “don’t get to dictate” how America defends its national security. Rubio defended the operation, which has destroyed 19 vessels and killed 76 suspected narco-terrorists since September.
