A powerful tornado tore through southern Brazil, leaving at least five people dead and 432 others injured. The tornado collapsed structures, leaving people trapped, the government said. The tornado that hit the community was originally classified as an EF-2, according to the state government, but after assessment of damage, could be reclassified as an EF-3.
