The Philippines is bracing for typhoon "Kalmaegi" which is expected to make landfall in the coming hours after gathering strength off the country’s east coast.
Authorites in districts like here in Eastern Visayas have started evacuating residents and have ordered fishermen off the waters as a precaution. The Philipines was hit by two major storms in recent months as well as several earthquakes. Scientists warn storms in the region are increasing in both strength and frequency due to man-made climate change.
