CCTV footage reportedly shows an infuriated Vietnamese dentist hysterically screaming, throwing objects, and assaulting an unsatisfied customer with a weightlifting bar, for complaining that her braces were too tight and demanding a refund for what she called a botched procedure. During her tirade, the dentist, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Chinh, dragged the customer off of the couch, grabbed her phone, and smashed it on the ground. The patient, Tien Thao, later told police she paid the equivalent of $833 for braces at the clinic in 2021 but she suffered severe pain after having them removed in August, even being diagnosed with bone damage at another clinic. Despite confirming that the business had a valid license to operate, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health revealed several issues and shut down the practice. Local police are continuing to collect evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
