Mexico’s Senate erupted into chaos on Aug. 27 when PRI leader Alejandro “Alito” Moreno grabbed Senate President Gerardo Fernández Noroña of the ruling Morena party during the national anthem at the close of a legislative session. Video from Canal del Congreso shows the scuffle escalating into punches and shoving as lawmakers rushed to intervene, with a bystander also getting shoved by Moreno in the melee. Local media said Moreno confronted Fernández Noroña after not being given the floor, sparking the fight.
