Protesters attacked Argentine President Javier Milei with rocks, planters and bottles as he was being driven in the back of a car during a campaign rally on Wednesday. The truck sped away, and there were no injuries, according to a presidential spokesman. The chaos played out two months before upcoming elections, and amid a corruption scandal. According to Reuters, several of those closest to the president, including his campaign manager sister – who was in the car – are facing allegations of bribery in Argentina’s agency for the disabled. Milei was one of the only international leaders on stage at Trump’s inauguration, has attended galas at Mar-a-Lago and received glowing praise from the commander-in-chief.
