A homeless woman in Washington, DC says police forced her to dismantle her tent and threatened her with arrest as part of Trump’s law-and-order crackdown.
She called the experience “dehumanising” and said others weren’t as lucky after their tents were dumped in a truck.
Trump had earlier posted on social media that he wanted the homeless out of Washington — even before announcing the extraordinary step of temporarily taking control of the District’s police department and deploying 800 National Guard troops, along with 500 additional federal agents, in a sweeping crime crackdown.
