Sweden’s Kiruna Church and its belfry are being moved 3-miles down the road as part of the town’s relocation. It’s happening because the world’s largest underground iron-ore mine is threatening to swallow the town. The move of Kiruna’s town center has been in the works since 2004. As the mine expanded deeper underground, residents began seeing cracks in buildings and roads.
