Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced a second immigration detention facility opening soon, dubbed "Deportation Depot." The Baker County Correctional Institution is slated to be converted into the new facility. More than 1,300 detainees can be housed, but the state will havethe flexibility to increase capacity to around 2,000 using temporary dorms.
