“Torrential” downpours dropped inches of rain on the Milwaukee metro area on Sunday morning, August 10, with flash flooding causing a “dangerous situation” across southeast Wisconsin, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
According to the NWS, between 5 and 13 inches of rain had fallen in the warned area as of 5:01 am local time, with additional amounts up to half an inch possible.
Footage here, captured by Jacob Zaber, shows widespread flooding in downtown West Allis.
“Those are cars completely under water, oh my f***ing God,” Zaber can be heard saying.
A flood warning would remain in effect for West Allis until 11 am, per the NWS.
