Donald Trump has admitted JD Vance’s earlier comment saying the Iran war was to blame for the Republicans’ election defeat was "largely true".
"Well, I think it’s, largely true because it drove the gasoline up a little bit short term and probably that’s, probably it’s true," he tells reporters.
Referring to the Democrats taking control of both the House and Senate, the US president adds he will "get along probably" with the party "unless they want to be destructive".
