Liberal Hivemind just watched the newest ad hitting Abdul El-Sayed and called it brutal.
The Michigan Senate race sits a few weeks out. Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, a doctor and progressive, faces Republican Mike Rogers, a former congressman and FBI agent. Polls show El-Sayed with a narrow lead in most recent surveys, often in the 2-to-6-point range. Rasmussen had it at 46 percent to 44 percent earlier this month. The race stays competitive as both sides pour money into television and digital spots.
The ad that caught Liberal Hivemind’s attention comes from the Democrats for Mike Rogers effort. Detroit residents look at the camera and say El-Sayed cares more about the West Bank than West Detroit. They call him arrogant and extreme. One woman notes she voted for Barack Obama but is backing Rogers this time. The spot contrasts that with Rogers focusing on schools, jobs, and safer streets. Liberal Hivemind’s latest video frames the reaction as the ad landing hard on the campaign.
BREAKING NEWS: Abdul El-Sayed Campaign Official Reveals El-Sayed Receives Overseas Donations, Admits Foreign Contributions Are Illegal Under Federal Law, Warns Denouncing Hamas Could Cost Support
“You know, he [Abdul El-Sayed] has people from overseas that donate to him…No it is not allowed.”
“He [Abdul El Sayed] can’t just say, you know, no, I don’t support Hamas, you know, I reject all of them, because he’s going to lose the people that brought him up in the first place.”

El-Sayed has faced a string of these hits. Another Rogers ad features a Persian-American student whose family left Iran. The student says El-Sayed raises money from people linked to terror networks and cannot condemn Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. Separate spots tie El-Sayed to streamer Hasan Piker, who said America deserved the 9/11 attacks. El-Sayed campaigned with Piker earlier and has said he is not there to disavow every view. Republicans keep playing those clips.
A former top staffer also walked away. Jordan Domingue, who worked on two El-Sayed campaigns as security and a personal assistant, quit publicly. He called the candidate a “manufactured man” with the maturity of a high school locker room, someone who pushes staff to tears and changes his message depending on the audience. El-Sayed’s campaign has not offered a detailed response. Local groups have pulled or walked back endorsements, including a firefighters union that blamed a clerical error and a Democratic sheriff who switched to Rogers.
To all of Michigan…take a good look at France before you choose to vote for Abdul El-Sayed.
This is a warning call. https://t.co/3OH6hvxB2Z

El-Sayed pushes back with his own ads. Recent ones focus on protecting abortion access, controlling AI development, and personal faith. In a viral town hall clip, a man named Tommy asked him to disavow the Muslim Brotherhood. El-Sayed said yes, then flipped the question and asked if Tommy had asked everyone in his own life the same thing. The clip spread widely, with supporters calling it a strong response and critics saying it dodged the original point about family connections. El-Sayed’s half-sister once posted online that the family had long been involved with the group.
The candidate deleted older videos and posts before the race, including comments supporting defund-the-police ideas and questioning fireworks on the Fourth of July. He has said those were taken out of context. He also ran in 2018 for governor and later served as a county health director. Rogers highlights his own record of hunting terrorists and serving in the Army and FBI.
Michigan voters have seen both sides’ arguments on television and online. The race remains close enough that either candidate can win depending on turnout and late advertising. Liberal Hivemind’s coverage has tracked the tightening numbers and the effect of the attack ads after the early honeymoon period for the progressive nominee. The sad fact though is the state is controlled by voter fraud. They have used hundreds of thousands of fake votes and still lost to Trump in the last election. But now they’ve had two more years to prepare fake votes and ballots, and they refused to show the DOJ their voter lists. Which means they are ready to steal. Will Trump let it happen?
