Alia Shawkat gave Andy Cohen the real story about where she stood with Brad Pitt in 2019 on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ Aug. 16. The ‘Arrested Development’ alum appeared alongside her ‘The Wrong Girls’ costar Kristen Stewart and writer-director Dylan Meyer. “I was obsessed with the Brad Pitt dating rumors. How did they start? How did that come to be?” Cohen, 58, asked. “Oh God, of course you were,” Shawkat responded as she took a drink, and Stewart, 36, added, “Me too. I was enthralled.” Shawkat and Pitt were seen spending time together in the fall of 2019 at the Wilding Cran Gallery in Los Angeles and at an opera performed at the Hollywood Bowl. But Shawkat denied she and Pitt were anything but platonic. "This is my favorite question to get asked,” the actress said. “Um, no—he’s just my friend. We became friends. Spike Jonze introduced us. It sounds all very chic and Hollywood. But we met, and he’s really into art and he’s very cool and we became friends. And everyone thought we were dating, because if you stand next to him, everyone thinks you’re dating.
