The heroic teen lifeguard who risked his life to save a 10-year-old boy while he was repeatedly pounded by waves met with President Donald Trump and the young boy who he rescued. Ryder Williams, the 16-year-old lifeguard who saved the boy at Seabright State Beach in Santa Cruz on July 25, met with Trump in the Oval Office Monday.
Williams saved 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai from the pounding surf in a dramatic rescue that was captured on video, showing Williams’ heroic effort as he kept the young boy above water. The video went viral shortly after the rescue and caught the attention of Eric Trump and eventually the president himself.
