A U.S. Marshal punched a handcuffed 17-year-old in the face. A neighbor’s Ring camera caught the whole thing. Kevin Harris was already in cuffs when the marshal hit him. His mother was out of town. She later said hearing her son scream ‘Mama, where you at?’ on that footage was something she couldn’t shake. Harris was one of four teens accused as accessories in a shooting that killed 6-year-old Jeison Romero Lopez and a 42-year-old woman. Jeison was struck by a stray bullet while sitting in his mother’s car at a gas station. The DOJ, FBI, and U.S. Attorney’s Office opened an investigation into the marshal’s conduct. No public charges against the officer have been reported.
