Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler met with Egyptian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief and Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Ashraf Salem Zaher in Ankara on July 13. The high-level meeting included a formal military welcome ceremony, one-on-one talks, and inter-delegation discussions. The two ministers signed a Letter of Intent on Defence Co-operation, signalling a further step in strengthening bilateral military ties between Türkiye and Egypt.
