A French military video released on Monday allegedly shows a Rafale jet intercepting a drone. At the airbase in Siauliai, Lithuania, the onboard camera shows a Rafale jet taxiing on the tarmac.
The drone is reported to be flying over Latvian territory. According to the French military, the aircraft were launched Monday as part of NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission to intercept the drone. The French Armed Forces said the drone was found over an uninhabited area and then destroyed. French Rafale jets were sent to Lithuania in April as part of NATO’s mission to monitor and protect airspace along the alliance’s eastern flank.
