French citizens are furious after learning an 11-year-old girl’s death could have been prevented if authorities had acted faster on arresting a known child molester. Lyhanna’s body was found on farmland a week after she disappeared from school. Authorities arrested a 41-year-old man named Jérome B, the father of a girl who is friends with Lyhanna. Witnesses saw Lyhanna in Jérome B’s car on the day she disappeared. When officials released Jérome B’s police record it was revealed he had been named in four separate cases involving young girls.
