Three people were killed and at least ten are still missing after a volcano erupted in Indonesia. The North Halmahera police chief said that ‘There are three dead, two foreigners and one resident of Ternate" and that nine tourists from Singapore are among the missing. He said they had ignored warning signs at the foot of Mount Dukono, which is one of the country’s most active volcanos and has been showing increased activity over the past month with dozens of daily eruptions. "Local residents understand and don’t want to climb. Many [hikers] are foreign tourists who wish to create content," the chief said. Harrowing video shows a tour guide rushing a number of tourists to safety, as he realizes the magnitude of the situation. He said: ‘Oh, the rocks are coming. Oh my god, it’s killed them. Oh my god, they died.’
