On April 14, severe storms tore through Iowa, with the NWS warning multiple possible tornadoes, 89 mph winds, and baseball-sized hail. A rope tornado was spotted in Onslow, triggering urgent take-cover alerts. The severe weather threat was expected to continue into April 15.
