On March 18th, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took questions from reporters outside the west wing of the White House. Upon being asked about NATO allies and the Strait of Hormuz, Leavitt said that the opening of the straight is ‘obviously good’ for America because it would stabilize the global oil industry, but the opening of the Strait of Hormuz would benefit NATO and the US allies far more.
