Iran says the lavish Golestan Palace — a UNESCO-listed relic of royal excess — suffered “serious damage” after US and Israeli strikes rocked the capital Sunday night, with video showing shattered windows and debris strewn across its ornate halls.
The 19th-century palace, once home to the shahs before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, was reportedly rattled by shockwaves from a nearby blast as tensions in the region hit a boiling point.
