Military forces boarded the Veronica III, a tanker under US sanctions, in the Indian Ocean after tracking it all the way from the Caribbean Sea in an effort to curb illicit oil tied to Venezuela, the Pentagon said. Forces conducted the overnight boarding as part of a “right-of-visit, maritime interdiction and boarding.”
