President Zelensky made an unannounced visit to UAE and Qatar in order to solidify an agreement between the Middle Eastern countries and Ukraine for protection and defense. Zelensky had previously revealed that Kyiv is supporting five countries to counter Tehran’s drone strikes: The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan. “For Ukraine, this is also a matter of principle: terror must not prevail anywhere in the world. Protection must be sufficient everywhere,” Zelensky noted during the trip.
