India has announced a series of punitive measures against its neighbor Pakistan following an attack on tourists in the disputed region of Kashmir. The measures include suspending a water-sharing agreement, closing border crossings, and cutting diplomatic staff. Pakistan is convening its National Security Committee to formulate a response.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack in Kashmir. The territory is claimed by both India and Pakistan.
