A SpaceX Starship booster exploded during pre-launch testing at Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas, early Friday, November 21. Footage shows the moment the lower section of the booster blew out, leaving the rest of the rocket standing. SpaceX said the booster “suffered an anomaly during gas system pressure testing” and that it’s too early to determine the cause. The company had been testing redesigned propellant systems and structural improvements ahead of future Starship flights.
