The Afghan shooter allegedly opened fire on the two National Guard members with a 357 Smith and Wesson revolver, US Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro said. Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, who came to the US during the chaotic 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, is accused of shooting 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom and 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe just blocks from the White House on Wednesday.
