The UK should be working to "help de-escalate tension" between India and Pakistan, the chair of the defence select committee has told Sky News.
Tan Dhesi MP said the UK should "should not be seen to be taking sides" in the conflict.
India launched missile strikes on Pakistan on Tuesday evening following a terrorist attack in Indian-administered Kashmir last week.
