Denmark Foreign Minister Lars Rasmussen said Wednesday afternoon that President Trump’s demand for US ownership of Greenland was "absolutely not necessary" after meeting with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Rasmussen contradicted Trump’s suggestion that only Danish dogsleds are protecting Greenland from China and Russia — and also denied the president’s claim that there are Chinese military ships near the world’s largest island.
