President Trump launched his TrumpRx website on Thursday, designed to be a competitive marketplace for Americans to purchase cheaper prescription drugs. Trump vowed Americans will “pay the lowest price” for medication.
“You’re going to see numbers that you’re not going to believe,” Trump said of his website. “Americans have long been paying the highest drug prices anywhere in the world, while other countries often paid pennies on the dollar for the exact same drugs. We were essentially subsidizing the entire world and subsidizing by hundreds of billions of dollars every year.”
