President Trump urged Ukrainian President Zelensky to support a peace deal with Russia during an oval office meeting on Nov. 21. In a recorded address Zelensky had shown apprehension about the the 28-point plan which would limit the country’s armed forces to 600,000 troops, enshrine permanent neutrality by pledging never to join NATO, and codify that ban in its own charter. Zelensky said Ukraine “may now face a very difficult choice, either losing its dignity or the risk of losing a key partner.”
