At a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump made a series of disparaging remarks about Somalia and Somali refugees living in Minnesota. He described Somalia as “barely a country” and alleged that Somali refugees had financially harmed the state of Minnesota, claiming they had “ripped off that state for billions of dollars” while contributing nothing. Trump also said that the United States does not want Somali refugees in the country, asserting that they “b****” and should “go back to their country and fix it.”
