The first shared housing project for LGBT+ seniors in France has opened its doors in the southern city of Lyon, providing a home for older people who are gay, trans or heterosexual but without family support. “I’m still a bit caught up in the stress of moving, but yesterday the emotion of receiving the keys was very strong,” says 65-year-old Catherine, one of the home’s first residents.
