As election day draws closer in the US, Kamala Harris has taken aim at Donald Trump for claiming that migrants in the city of Springfield, Ohio are eating people’s pets. Harris says the former president’s comments were “designed to divide us as a country.” Local officials have repeatedly said there was no evidence for Trump’s claims.
But the small city of Springfield has still found itself at the centre of a firestorm, with dozens of bomb threats reported following Trump’s comments. DW’s Aya Ibrahim went there to find out more.
