A muddy eruption from Yellowstone’s Black Diamond Pool in Biscuit Basin was captured by a webcam. The footage, released by the USGS, shows mud shooting up from the pool. This event follows a much larger hydrothermal explosion at the same spot in July 2024, after which the basin was closed for safety assessments.
