Russia proposed a second round of peace negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul, Türkiye, during the United Nations Security Council meeting on Friday, May 30.
Russia’s UN envoy, Vassily Nebenzia, announced that the talks are scheduled for Monday, June 2, and will focus on exchanging memoranda regarding both parties’ approaches to the negotiation process.
The first round of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine in three years took place in Istanbul on May 16.
